SAMPLE APPROACH

Workshops are customized to your specific needs, but this serves as a starting point. Once we know your business objective and constraints, we'll craft a unique session with relevant books handpicked for your team.

This interactive, high energy session immerses your leaders into principles from top business books. Your people will explore actionable insights as inspiration; challenge their current approaches; build out potential strategies, concepts or approaches; and take away practical actions to realize the value.

SESSION GOALS:

  • Strengthen leaders’ resilience, strategic thinking, and motivational skills.
  • Equip participants with practical tools, frameworks, and ideas to drive change.
  • Provide a collaborative space to reflect on challenges, learn from each other, shape new solutions, and align on practical next steps.

FULL-DAY AGENDA:

Welcome & Purpose (20 min)

Introduce our themes and objectives for the session with an icebreaker to introduce participants.

Insight Discovery & Theme Prioritization (90 min)

Participants will explore ideas from the books, prioritize the most impactful insights, then review and reflect on the emerging themes. This will set the focus for the rest of the day.

  • Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek Building trust and safety within teams to foster collaboration.
  • Dare to Lead by Brené Brown Promoting vulnerability and courage in leadership for resilient teams.
  • The Art of Possibility by Rosamund & Benjamin Zander Encouraging visionary thinking and innovative approaches to leadership.
  • Leadership in Turbulent Times by Doris Kearns Goodwin Lessons from historic leaders on resilience and adaptability.
  • How Women Rise by Sally Helgesen & Marshall Goldsmith Strategies for overcoming obstacles and fostering diverse leadership.
  • Good to Great by Jim Collins Examining disciplined leadership and sustainable success; what makes organizations truly excel.

Morning Break (10 min)

Breakouts: Challenges & Potential Solutions (60 min)

Break into smaller groups organized around the prioritized themes. In the groups, participants will discuss specific challenges they have experienced, or headwinds they expect to face. Each group brainstorms potential solutions using lessons, tactics, and frameworks from the books or other ideas they triggered.

Report Back: Share Takeaways (30 min)

Each breakout team shares the challenges and potential solutions they prioritized.

Lunch Break (45 min)

Break for lunch, and socialize with other attendees. For additional inspiration, listen to a guest speaker or short videos (e.g., TED Talk) as participants finish eating.

Breakouts: Practical Application & Solution Development (60 min)

Break into new teams organized around potential solutions. Each participant selects the area that is most interesting to them or applicable to their current role. Within the groups, participants will work together to build out a strategy, concept, or approach using a variety of templates and frameworks.

Rotate: Review & Build Out Solutions (30 min)

Each breakout team rotates to review another group's solution. They provide feedback, considerations and additional ideas to strengthen the strategy, concept, or approach.

Afternoon Break (15 min)

Commitment Planning (60 min)

Each breakout team presents their solution to the full group. After all groups have presented, use a voting exercise to prioritize solutions, assign a lead, discuss roadblocks or anticipated challenges to plan for, and align on next steps to experiment with or implement the ideas.

Takeaways & Wrap Up (15 min)

Reflect on key insights from the session and establish a commitment to implement one new practice.
